In 2018 I left Plymouth and moved to Ashford in Kent. In the mid 1990's I lived in Soho and the move gave me the chance to start an art project aimed at capturing life in Soho.
In 2019 I started visiting Soho regularly usually visiting for a few days at a time and staying for a few days at the YMCA hostel in Noel Street.
My initial paintings were done at home in my studio working from sketches, photographs and videos that I had made while wandering around Soho.

Soon after I had started the project in March 2020 the covid lockdowns began and i was reduced to painting at home.
