Here are a few photos of my exhibition in the Lamorna Village Hall on Wednesday 24th July 2013. Half way through the morning a gentleman came in had a good look around and said “You should do well here”. I said “Do you paint yourself?” Yes he replied. “Do you exhibit in the Portscatho?” Yes he replied. “Do you have a gallery in Portscatho?” Yes he replied. He then left saying “I will be back in ten minutes”. He then returned and handed me a copy of his book: PORTSCATHO: Portrait of a Cornish Art Colony. The gentleman was Chris Insoll and his answers were all true but very understated. I have lots of art books but this will be one of the few that I have read all the way through. Very inspiring. Thanks Chris and thanks Portscatho for a great day.
Here is the painting I did yesterday at Mousehole. The Gap at Mousehole with St Michaels Mount in the distance. The photo is of the kind family who gave up their bench so that I could have a view of St Michaels Mount through The Gap and then bought the painting they had watched me paint.
